Tokyo Tour Itinerary
On this tour, you’ll explore some of Tokyo’s most iconic locations, including the famous Shibuya pedestrian crossing and the traditional Asakusa district.
Shibuya
Our adventure begins in front of the iconic Hachiko statue at Shibuya Station. Shibuya is not only famous for being home to the world’s busiest pedestrian crossing, but it also carries the heartwarming tale of Hachiko, a loyal Akita who waited for his owner every day at the station, even after his passing.
This touching story of devotion has made Hachiko a beloved symbol of loyalty in Tokyo. As we take in this bustling area, we’ll delve into Hachiko’s legacy and how it resonates with both locals and visitors alike. Prepare to be inspired by the spirit of loyalty as we explore the vibrant streets of Shibuya together!
Asakusa
Next, we’ll take the subway to Asakusa, where you’ll enjoy breathtaking views from the 8th-floor terrace of the Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center. From this vantage point, you can admire the Sky Tree, Japan’s tallest tower.
We’ll also visit Nakamise Dori, one of Japan’s oldest shopping streets. This vibrant street is perfect for finding unique souvenirs, traditional kimonos, or Japanese sweets. At the end of Nakamise Dori, you’ll arrive at Senso-ji, one of Tokyo’s most significant Buddhist temples. Here, you can try your luck with an Omikuji—a traditional fortune-telling paper amulet that reveals your future in a uniquely Japanese way.
Afterwards, we’ll take the subway to Akasakamitsuke Station to visit Hie-Jinja Shrine, a historic Shinto site that dates back to the origins of Tokyo. One of the highlights of this shrine is the picturesque walk through its 90 red Torii gates—a smaller but equally captivating version of Kyoto’s famous Fushimi Inari Shrine.
You’ll also have the option to explore a national treasure housed here, featuring 31 historically significant swords and other fascinating artifacts. If you’re a fan of the series Shōgun, you’ll be excited to learn that this shrine was a favorite of the Tokugawa clan.
