Tokyo Tour Itinerary

On this tour, you’ll explore some of Tokyo’s most iconic locations, including the ancient Hama-Rikyu garden and the famous Shibuya pedestrian crossing.

Asakusa

Embark on your Tokyo adventure in front of the Kaminarimon Gate, in Asakusa a vibrant district where history and culture intertwine seamlessly where you’ll enjoy breathtaking views from the 8th-floor terrace of the Asakusa Culture Tourist Information Center. From this vantage point, you can admire the Sky Tree, Japan’s tallest tower.

We’ll also visit Nakamise Dori, one of Japan’s oldest shopping streets. This vibrant street is perfect for finding unique souvenirs, traditional kimonos, or Japanese sweets. At the end of Nakamise Dori, you’ll arrive at Senso-ji, one of Tokyo’s most significant Buddhist temples.

Senso-ji Temple and Sumida River

Tokyo's oldest and most iconic temple, characterised by its striking red gates that beckon visitors. Be sure to immerse yourself in the local culture by trying your luck with an omikuji paper fortune, a delightful way to discover what the future may hold.

Following this, we’ll board one of the suijo basu or 'water buses' that glide daily along the Sumida River. Our water bus will take us from Asakusa to the Hama-Rikyu Gardens, a journey of approximately 35 minutes during which we’ll enjoy beautiful panoramic views of the city.

Hama-Rikyu is an ancient garden dating back to the Shogunate era of old Tokyo and now part of the Imperial Household of Japan. Within the garden, you’ll find a charming tea house, where you can savor Matcha green tea paired with traditional Japanese sweets (this activity is subject to the shop’s availability, and the cost of refreshments is not included in the tour). The stunning contrast between the modern city skyline and the timeless beauty of the garden creates an unforgettable scene.

After a short 20-minute walk, we’ll arrive at Shinbashi Station, where we’ll take the subway to Shibuya.
